English - newspaper articles
In English we have been learning to write newspaper articles.
We have learnt that a newspaper article contains:
- A bold, eye catching headline.
- The reporters name.
- Written in 3rd person.
- Written in past tense.
- Introduction with the 5 W's (what, where, when, who, why)
- Information about events in chronological order.
- Quotations using direct speech.
- A conclusion paragraph explaining what might happen next.
- Picture with a caption.
