WEEK COMMENCING 27TH JAN 2020.

We have been having lots of fun this week in Clare class. Our topic for this week has been The Chinese New year.  We read the story called 'The Great Race'. The children enjoyed seeing which animals came 1st,2nd and 3rd in the race. We discussed what animal it was when we were born. We learnt a dragon dance and we did some Chinese food tasting. We also made some Chinese lanterns and we did some Chinese writing. We wrote 'Happy new year' and we wrote numbers in Chinese.

In phonics we have learnt the codes 'y' for yawn and 'ai' for aid. We have also learnt the words 'she'and 'he'. We put these  words orally into a sentence.

We had fun at forest school!!!!
