Today, for our writing hook, Churchill made paper rockets. These were made by following written instructions. The rockets are powered by blowing through a straw.
Churchill Class is very lucky because we get to have a reception buddy class. The reception buddy class will be our buddies for the rest of year 5. On the last day of last half term we got together to ice biscuits. We designed them so they looked like our buddies then we ate them together.
Over this half term there was a menu of activities sent home for homework. Here are some examples of the work of Churchill Class. Lots of effort, time and thought have been put into these examples.
Churchill Class has been looking at adventure stories. We have used Alien Landing by Pie Corbett as our model text.
For our topic this term we are looking at Our Universe. We designed our own space scenes using pastel and black circular paper and displayed them on our very own rocket ship! Here are a few examples:
