English

In English we are in the innovation stage of the Talk for Writing process. We have been using the class plan to practise writing some character descriptions. We are trying to show the reader a character's personality rather than tell the reader what a character is like.  An example is attached below.

Maths

We are focussing on multiplication and division this half of term. This week we have been learning the 3 and 3 times table and using this knowledge to solve reasoning problems such as:

Marcia says, "23 x 4 = 72 because 20 x 3 = 60 and 3 x 4 = 12. 60 + 12 = 72. True or false? Explain why.

Science

We have been investigating how shadows change and some of us challenged ourselves to produce a bar chart to show our results. An example is attached below.
