Downing Class have had another brilliant week this week. We have now completed our unit on multiplication and division and the progress they have made is staggering! Here is a poster of the different methods that we can use to solve multiplication and division problems:
In English, we have been writing newspaper reports about strange things happening in Trumpington, from children turning into oranges to flocks of birds spontaneously attacking the houses! I particularly liked Adjoa's account of a strange smell wafting through Trumpington:
In history, we have linked our work on WWII to Remembrance Day and made posters explaining questions such as 'What are Remembrance day traditions in other countries' and 'Why is the poppy associated with Remembrance day'. We hope that these posters will help to explain more about Remembrance day to other children in the younger years.
