Week commencing 9th March
This week, we have finished our unit on biased argument writing. As a class we had a go at writing a biased argument in favour of 'gaming' being taught in schools. Some of us had to put aside our own feelings on the subject to write the class version!
In science, we have been continuing our work on evolution and inheritance. This week, we mimicked the 'mould and cast' process of fossil formation using shells, clay, plaster of paris and sand. Next week we will see if we can turn out our 'fossils'!
The wonderful Downing class are also continuing to read their way through the book corner. We have put up a display of our favourite titles. Some books are so popular that some people are on a waiting list!
